Dr. Akinwumi Johnson Akinloye
PhD in Plant Anatomy / Taxonomy
Dr. Akinloye is a Botanist (Plant Systematist) with forty-three journal publications, four conference papers, and two books — with one more book in the making. His research interest lies in wood anatomy and utilization of Phytodyes.
He possesses extensive skills in Plant Histology Techniques, Sectioning of Plant samples (Microtomy), Staining, Preparation of Permanent slides, Semi-permanent slides, and Temporary slides. He is also an expert in Interpretation of Botanical slides, Photomicrography, Extraction of Phytodyes, Cleaning and repair of Microscopes, and organizing workshops on Plant Histology Techniques and Microscope maintenance.
